Real-time analytics for a regulated environment
An institution needed intraday reporting without weakening the audit trail that made overnight batch acceptable.

The Challenge
Reporting ran as an overnight batch. By the time the business saw a number it was up to eighteen hours old, but the batch was also the system of record for audit, so it could not simply be replaced.
The Problem
Every proposed streaming design broke reproducibility: two runs over the same window could produce different results, which regulators would not accept. The team also had no way to deploy during market hours.
Our Approach
We built an event-sourced pipeline where the batch remained authoritative and the stream was a derived, replayable view over the same immutable log. Any figure could be reconstructed for any point in time. Blue-green deployments with schema-compatible migrations removed the market-hours freeze.
